What can I visit near Pompeii without a car?
Prioritise places connected by rail, including Castellammare di Stabia and Torre Annunziata, or destinations within walking distance in modern Pompeii. Always check the exact station, line and timetable for the day of your visit.
Where can I eat authentic food near the ruins?
Do not choose only by distance from the exit. Look for seasonal menus, clearly identified ingredients, recognisable Campanian dishes, transparent prices and recent reviews that describe the food in detail.
Can I visit Pompeii and Castellammare in one day?
Yes. Visit Pompeii during the first part of the day, then choose one experience in Castellammare: either the waterfront and town centre or the archaeological heritage of Stabiae.
